The Palmer Preschool Team

Our teachers must have the following training and requirements:

The Comprehensive Background Check includes:

• Local law check (Local Police Dept)
• ​An FBI fingerprint check
• FDLE (Florida Dept of Law Enforcement)
• A search of the National Crime Information Center?
• 40 hour training and 5 hour early literacy classes to be started within 90 days of employment as required by DCF
• CPR/First Aid (Pediatric and adult) Certification

At Palmer Preschool and Child Care we have 16 employees:

• 2 with Masters Degrees in Education
• 4 with Associate Degrees in Early Childhood Education
• 10 with CDA’s (Childcare Development Associates Certification)
• All with 45 + hours of training classes and exams

• 1 with over 50 years of cooking and nutritional experience
• 13 with CPR, Infant CPR, and First Aid training certification

These dedicated professionals go through continual training, conferences and classes. This gives them a thorough understanding of what is necessary to be the kind of educator you expect and we demand. They teach in ways that support children’s academic progress while respecting the way they grow, develop and learn.
