Palmer Preschool
COVID-19 Safety Response
Learning as we grow through this ‘new normal’. Covid 19
While we were closed, our Palmer Preschool family took this opportunity to ensure our facility was the safest possible environment that it could be. We did a deep clean of the facility including toys and stuffed animals, and anything that could be bleached was. Every Friday after we are closed for the day, we have a professional, kid-friendly disinfection company come to our campus. Now that we are moving forward and returning to school, we are implementing extra precautions. Temperatures will be taken when parents sign their children in, children will continue washing their hands upon arrival, and our staff will promote proper hand-washing throughout the day. Handwashing has always been a priority as a healthy habit here at Palmer Preschool, but we have increased the continual disinfection of classroom furniture, toys, and games throughout the day.
We have purchased spray hand sanitizers from a medical supply company which we have stationed beside the sign-in desk and throughout our preschool. We have implemented social distancing measures in accordance with CDC and DFC guidelines by limiting parents upon arrival, the sign-in area will be continually sanitized, and we will be making wellness checks throughout the day. Children need to be fever-free (temperature of 100.4 or less and no flu-like symptoms) to be able to attend their class.
If a child exhibits any symptoms (such as runny nose, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, fatigue, or muscle aches) we will separate them from class and call a guardian. In order for a child to return, they must be symptom free for a minimum of 24 hours.
